Hi, my name is Keoni Butler, and I'm a 10th grader at Health Sciences High. This year I transferred to this school from Helix Charter High School. Every Thursday I go help my dad coach my brother's middle school football team. Right now, they are the number one middle school flag football team in the San Diego County. I am proud of them for their work and dedication because it reminds me of the days when I played on the team. My team went undefeated my last year there; however, I couldn't play in the championship game due to a knee dislocation. Now, two years later, I play linebacker for my high school football team, and we won the championship this year. I didn't play any sports last year because I needed time to rehabilitate. Some of my activities out of school consist of coaching football, youth group, volunteering at church, rosary making, assisting a Confirmation class, and working at a Vacation Bible School.
Although I have many extra curricular activities outside of school, I also belong to some clubs in school. My in school activities consist of National Honors Society (NHS), Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), and Football. Along with these clubs, I am also taking all honors classes. I acquired straight A's throughout my time at Helix with a 4.33 Overall GPA, and I received a 4.0 GPA this quarter at Health Sciences High. Now I am going to try my hardest to obtain my straight A streak.
